My name is Alison Driscoll, and I’m a professional Celebrant and Solemniser based in Cork, Ireland.

I’ve always loved celebrating life’s meaningful moments – from engagements and weddings, from little birthdays to big ones and all the everyday milestones in between. There’s something so special about bringing people together to mark an occasion, and it’s a joy I never take for granted. I look forward to being part of many more beautiful days, helping couples and families celebrate their day, their way with creativity, warmth, consideration and understanding.

With over a decade of experience in customer service and event management, I’m naturally drawn to understanding what matters most to people and bringing that vision to life. I work closely with my couples and families, listening carefully, communicating clearly and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully considered. I am calm, organised and intuitive and I’m there for you first and foremost, and to guide the process and hold the space with ease.

When I’m not crafting ceremonies, you’ll usually find me enjoying life in Cork City – be that with a coffee in hand down the Marina, wandering through shops and markets, escaping to Kinsale (my favourite place in all seasons), or surrounded by books with a “to-be-read” pile that could rival a small library. I love spending time with my family and friends, and of course with my wonderful partner who was only recently appointed to husband status in April 2025 after 10 gorgeous years together. We love travelling together around Ireland and much further afield and are excited to keep collecting new memories and experiences together in this chapter of our life.

What can I say about Alison, an incredible person who gave us the ceremony of our dreams! From start to finish, going through the ceremony ideas to the ceremony itself, Alison was a breath of fresh air. Her relaxed approach allowed us to have a very tailored ceremony which felt so personal and was our favourite part of our wedding day. Many happy tears were shed, not just from us but from our wedding guests and we’ve had so many compliments and that is thanks to Alison. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We were so lucky to have Alison as our wedding celebrant—she was simply incredible. From the moment we reached out to her, we knew we were in the best hands. Within an hour of emailing, we were on a Zoom call with her, and she was just the nicest, most encouraging person. She instantly put us at ease and made the whole process feel so natural and exciting.

Alison officiated our wedding ceremony in Sept 2024 and to this day guests are still gushing about special, unique and full of love it was! From the moment we got engaged my husband and I knew our ceremony would be the most important part of the day and we wanted our celebrant to understand and be a part of this. From the very first call with Alison we were sold! She was so easy to talk to and understood how personal this was to us. She helped us curate a ceremony full of love, laughs and special moments. We will never forget it. We can’t recommend Alison enough, she truly made our day unforgettable!

Alison was amazing to work with. The ceremony was beautifully written and included so many personal touches including candle and hand tying rituals and hand picked readings. Alison guided us through the process and provided samples and support along the way. The final result was something I will remember the rest of my life. All through the night people were coming up to us complimenting the ceremony and how unique and special it was. So grateful to have had Alison be a part of our big day and can’t recommend her highly enough!

Alison performed our baby's naming ceremony in his grandparents back garden. It was the most beautiful day and Alison was absolutely fantastic. We had never experienced a naming ceremony before, but knew we wanted to have something different to celebrate our little man. The day couldn’t have been any better and Alison couldn’t have been any nicer, I would highly recommend her for anybody looking to have something similar.

We were delighted with Alison as our choice of celebrant. On the day itself she was very well presented, friendly to everyone, and she presided over the ceremony with humour and grace. Alison guided both ourselves and the readers where required, and we always felt she was in control. Alison has a bubbly, enthusiastic, lovely personality and a love for her job that shines through. She got to know both of us through conversations and was very quick to come up with a sermon, that explained who we are as a couple, as well as including some very funny and witty stories to keep all our friends and family entertained. Her fresh approach to how she delivers her sermon, I have NOT seen in any other sermon previously. I don’t know how to put this into words, other than to say that if you do choose Alison for your wedding day, I guarantee you will not regret it.

The whole ceremony was created completely to suit us, it was such a personal experience, the humour, uniqueness and effort that could be seen through out the ceremony! Our guests all complemented the ceremony. We also had a pick of little ceremonies that we could include which was amazing as we then had our daughters and mothers involved. We would highly recommend Alison for any wedding ceremony it was one of our highlights of our day!

Alison, you were the most perfect celebrant for our wedding at the Maryborough Hotel. You spoke so eloquently and from our zoom calls you captured and delivered our love story perfectly for all our friends and family. It sounded like something from the movies! Even though we had read the script about 20 times beforehand we still thoroughly enjoyed it along with our guests. 5 stars, I couldn’t imagine a better wedding ceremony.
